Grant unto us, Lord Jesus, the grace to be worthy members of Your Mystical Body, laboring unceasingly to fulfill our vocation in the social apostolate of Your Church. Raise up leaders in every land dedicated to Your standards of order, equity, and justice. Lord Jesus, Carpenter and King, supreme Sovereign of all men, look with tender mercy upon the multitudes of our day who bear the indignities of injustice everywhere. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord. May there be a dawning of a truly human society May there be an end to division, strife and war. Our brothers and sisters throughout the world. It is your will that they be gathered togetherįill the hearts of mankind with the fire of your loveĪnd with the desire to ensure justice for all. Therefore we pray to You instead, O God, for strength, determination and will power,įather, you have given all peoples one common origin. We cannot merely pray to You, O God, to end disease įor You have already given us great minds w ith which to search out cures and healing, i f we would only use them constructively. We cannot merely pray to You, O God, to end despair įor You have already given us the power t o clear away slums and to give hope, i f we would only use our power justly.

We cannot merely pray to You, O God, to root out prejudice įor You have already given us eyes w ith which to see the good in all people, i f we would only use them rightly. We cannot merely pray to You, O God, to end starvation įor You have already given us the resources w ith which to feed the entire world, i f we would only use them wisely. We cannot merely pray to you, O God, to end war įor we know that You have made the world in a way t hat people must find their own path to peace w ithin themselves and with their neighbors.
